Ponce Guzman is developing mechanical watches that combine the refinement of traditional dress-watch design with the versatility to be worn every day.Our first collection is built around a simple idea: a watch should feel just as appropriate at dinner as it does throughout the rest of your weekend.
THE STORY BEHIND PONCE GUZMAN
Ponce Guzman began with an interest in watches and the idea that maybe I could design one of my own. What started as a personal project gradually became something more—a way to create something connected to family that could be shared, built upon, and carried forward.
Family can be complicated, and its meaning can change throughout our lives. For me, relationships that once felt distant gradually became meaningful parts of my life. That journey ultimately gave the brand its name.
Ponce is my biological father’s family name. Guzman is my biological mother’s. Bringing the two together represents two parts of my story converging and coming full circle.
Today, I’m building Ponce Guzman with the same quality I value in mechanical watches themselves: longevity. Something thoughtfully made, cared for, and capable of being passed from one generation to the next.
Ponce Guzman looks backward at where I came from, but it is being built for what comes next.
